![]() There have been rumors for many years that the building that currently houses D'Arcy McGee's Irish Pub and the Rooftop Nightclub; Buffalo SkyBar as well as the host to the 2010 Buffalo Monster Fest...is haunted! Well, I am here to set the record straight..as I understand it. Obviously, any old building has a long history and sometimes acquires a bit of notoriety for various reasons, D'Arcy's is no exception. Everyone knows, things happen and many things happen...within a building. Over recent years, paranormal investigators have been allowed to walk throughout the building with all sorts of electronic, plasmatic devices designed to measure the presence of ghosts, entities and possible disgruntled employees hiding within the walls and skeletal supports of this cool structure. Each visit has always produced some unexplainable event and has left the investigators with more questions than answers (hmmm..heard that one before...). The common consensus is that, no matter what you believe or what is reality, something creepy is happening late at night between the walls and between the worlds at D'Arcy McGee's. One thing that is for sure, once the date was set and the night was planned for the 2010 Buffalo Monster Fest, an increase in weird, spooky activity began, and has been increasing ever since. |
I know it's easy to say I might be fabricating this story in an effort to increase interest in the Monster Fest (I wish I were THAT smart) but I encourage you to ask the servers, chefs bartenders, cooks and cleaners if they have experienced anything unusual since the announcement of the Monster Fest. I have had personal conversations with employees who have spoke of footsteps, lights flashing, doors opening and closing as well as unexplained forces holding doors back while no one else is present in the area. Now, please keep in mind that no one has ever been hurt or even threatened by most encounters and the presence of a ghost or some sort of supernatural entity is not automatically a bad thing. Embrace the unusual, the unknown, the unexplained. So, is D'Arcy McGee's Irish Pub haunted? God, I hope so...
